When we experience a traumatic event, whether small or large, our inner spiritual essence – the aspect known as our soul, can become fractured. Pieces of the fractured soul can leave our bodies. After the trauma subsides, some parts can return on their own or be called back by the person. But sometimes a part or layer gets stuck or lost, and cannot return easily. This leads to a drop in the vitality of our physical, mental and emotional aspects, and we may feel empty or distant. Disease becomes more likely, “dis-ease” inevitable. When a large part of the soul has left, a person may even be in a coma on life support.
The shamanic soul retrieval process involves the practitioner working with their helping spirits to seek out and return these lost or stuck soul parts. The practitioner serves as the bridge between the client and the benevolent compassionate spirits who search non-ordinary reality and find that which needs to return. In addition to the soul part, critical life force power is also returned. The result of this healing is typically an increase in vitality, energy and health. New directions in life can suddenly become crystal clear.
